An Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) is a legal entity involved in the international movement of goods. AEO has to be approved by a national Customs administration complying with the Eurasian Economic Union legislation and WTO security standards. AEOs are included in a special register.

Criteria for granting AEO status

To get the AEO status a company has to meet numerous requirements including:

be involved in international trade for no less than 3 years;
have an inventory accounting system open for customs authorities;
prove its financial solvency;
own premises and warehouses for temporary storage of goods.
